One of the special restaurants in Cambridge is Wusong Road. It is located at 112 Mount Auburn Street. The experience is similar to a speakeasy because you just know that the concept behind it was filled with creativity and love.
The cool sign out front will catch your eye as you approach the front entrance.
The Entrance & Layout
Upon entering you will discover that there are two levels of dining. There is a bar on the 1st and 2nd floors of the establishment. We enjoy getting lunch at the 1st floor bar. As a long-time Bostonian the layout reminds me of those classic Tiki bars along route 1 back in the day, but with a modern twist. In the Boston area, there has been a growing need for unique restaurant experiences like Wusong Road. There have been numerous places opening up in the area recently. Wusong Road is definitely a place you should visit!
What To Drink
Wusong Road in Cambridge has an exceptional cocktail menu featuring delicious seasonal and classic drinks. Two of our favorite cocktails on the menu are the Mai Tai and the Painkiller.
Mai Tai
The Mai Tai is known for its balance of sweet, sour, and nutty flavors. It is often garnished with a fresh fruit and a classic Tiki Bar beverage.
Painkiller
This creamy fruity cocktail is perfect for those looking to indulge in something decadent. It’s often garnished with tropical fruit, such as pineapple or cherry. The Painkiller adds a touch of Tiki flair.
What To Eat
Although there are menu changes with the seasons, there are some fan favorites you don’t want to miss. The menu has so many tasty options and is setup in a tapa’s style. We always choose a few and eat family style. This way we get to munch on a bit of everything. During our last visit we enjoyed Wusong Bao, Rice Paper Rolls, Coconut Spareribs and Uncle Quan’s fried rice which we highly recommend. Another thing to mention is that Wusong’s menu offers a lot of their items as vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Uncle Quan's Fried Rice
Jasmine rice, chinese chives, peas, carrots, egg, shallot, green onion. Choice of pork and chinese sausage (has gluten), shrimp (gf), pineapple (gf)(v+), fried egg (gf)(v), kimchi (v+)(gf), the works.

When To Go To Wusong Road
Wusong Road restaurant serves lunch and dinner to its guests. The restaurant serves lunch between 12 and 3 p.m. and dinner between 5 and 10 p.m. We also like going to the bar downstairs towards the end of lunch. It can be quite a tranquil experience. Those planning on visiting between 3-5 p.m. will be disappointed to learn they will close the restaurant to reset for dinner at that time. I believe Wusong Road can be enjoyed whenever you try it.
